Romeo and juliet(sonnet)

The theme of this poem is LOVE.
They talk in a very lovely way to each other too.

The clues that gave this theme away was that like since i saw the movie it helped me understand the poem better. so i kinda already knew.

I can connect with this poem because at times i can get really romantic and talk in a lovely way.

This theme can be connected to other poem that have been written by Shakespear because his really romantic in writing plays or poems.

Still i rise

The theme of this poem is that whatever people think of her she still rises.
Also this poem teaches a lesson which is whatever people say or think of you just keep on and don't listen to them.

I can relate to this theme because if any one says or think something of me I'm
just gonna keep on and forget about it.

SARAH CYNTHIA WOULD NOT TAKE THE GARBAGE OUT

An example of hyperbole I found in this poem was " Homework! Oh, homework!
You're giving me fits.
" What this hyperbole means is that the homework is giving him fits because it's too much. I think the poet used hyperbole in this way because he is trying to explain how much he hates homework.

Changes by Tupac Shakur

The mood i get of reading this poem is sad because he tells you how things changed after him being a kid and having his family together.

I know this because he uses his own words to describe it so that makes it
easy for me to understand what he is saying.

I think the poet wrote this poem in this mood because
he's explaining his life or the past of his life so of course he makes it the mood he does.

poetry reponse "bruised love"

  • What do you think of the characters so far? What have you learned about them?
- What i think about this character so far is that she is a strong girl because she gets hit by her boyfriend and she sends him out ! .
  • What does their poetry reveal about them?
-What this poem reveal about her is that she has a great friend who can notice anything about her and then try to make her feel good and also make a suggestion that people should give her a better respect from what she's gone through.
  • What word best describes how the poet is feeling? Why?
- The word that best describes how the poet is feeling should be "hurt" because no one deserves to be treated like Chonkora or her sister did. So what i think describes how the character is feeling is "hurt".
  • What is the meaning of this poem (think about message, theme, main idea)?
- The meaning of the poem is that you can't let no one hurt you or disrespect you in any kind of way.
  • Do you connect with this poem at all? Why or why not?
- I don't really connect with this poem because i never had a boyfriend who hits me or disrespects me. But on the other hand i can connect with the part in how tough she was to throw him out because i either won't stay with my hands crossed or have a man hitting me.

Poetry responce (Negro)

I can infer that the poet has been through a lot of work and difficult things in his life.

The word i think describes the poet's feeling would be "worker" because most of the things he has done was a hard work.

The main idea of this poem is that he is telling one of the big or hard parts of his life he's been through.

I do not connect with this poem because i have not been through nothing he has been.

Poetry responce (Braver)

  • What inferences can you make about this poem?
- i can infer that she wants to be brave but everything she does everyday since it's the same routine each day does same things are holding her up from getting braver.
  • What word best describes how the poet is feeling? Why?
-The word that best describes the poet is "Same" Because she is the same girl everyday and does the same thing everyday.
  • What is the meaning of this poem (think about message, theme, main idea)?
-The meaning of this poem is to not to boring up your life. And try different things each day.
  • Do you connect with this poem at all? Why or why not?
-NO, i don't connect with this poem because i am a brave girl who would try anything new and also that i never will stay doing the same thing after and after and if i do i would change the way i do it.
